No, I'm not talking about me. I'm taking about a new league administration app that Kettle Hills is strongly urging all of it's leagues to use. We are going to begin the process of bringing that on board. Here's what it does:

1. Everyone's email address and phone number are stored (securely) in the app.
This allows the app to act as a communication hub between members. You'll be able to send texts or emails to other league members right in the app without needing to know their contact info. Send a message to just one person, just the players on one team, just the available subs, or the entire league. There is an option for you to opt out of receiving any of those messages if you're worried about that.

2. The app will also allow Kettle Hills to send messages to the entire league at once. Rainouts is where this obviously comes into play. They don't have to tell me and then I tell all of you. They tell you directly.

3. Another biggie - you will be able to pay your league fees directly in the app. No more checks, Venmo, etc.

4. In addition to all of this, GLG will allow you to enter your scores directly into the app and will keep all of the stats and standings. At first, either I or Jacob Phelps will enter the scores from the scorecards, then at some point we will ask all of you to try it, then at some point we will encourage all of you to do it, then at some point we may require it.
But fear not. At least for this year, the TUG League website will remain, as will the stats, standings, and box scores that you know and love. Before we transition to this 100% we want to make sure it calculates everything correctly and that everyone is on board.

5. The final thing that GLG does is it give me an off ramp from the scorekeeping duties that I have been happily doing; now entering my 14th year. I'm not saying I need an off ramp. The motor is still running good. But the motor turned 65 years old a few days ago and these things aren't designed to last forever. The thought of turning things over to a newer model when everything is in GLG is much less daunting than trying to teach someone my spreadsheets.
