Next week is our year-end scramble and banquet. If you've been to a previous one, you are very familiar with how it works. We have a shotgun start on Ponds at 4:45 p.m. Please get to the carts by 4:30 so we can head out on time. The caterer will be serving food at 7:00 p.m. in the downstairs bar/patio. The banquet is rain or shine because of the caterer, but the forecast looks nice. Door prizes as usual with all regular team members eligible, drawn in random order. You must be present to win one. Please bring a little cash. I will have a tip box for our lovely and gracious bartender, Zoe, who has put up with our shenanigans all year.
I have posted the pairings below in the schedule and in the Pairings button above. As usual, they are based on season standings. 1st place is paired with 16th place, 2nd with 15th, and so on. If you know someone is not going to be able to play, please let me know ASAP. There are other players on 3-player teams who are willing to fill in and they get first dibs. I'll update the pairings as changes come in.
The scramble is a straight best ball. You all hit, pick the best one and then all hit from there. No other restrictions. You must putt out - no gimmes. Record your team score for each hole. Your team handicap will be subtracted from your score to get your NET. Lowest NET wins. YOU MUST NOT CHEAT.
